Register as voters, Nandi residents urged.

Locals in Nandi county have been urged to ensure that they register as voters in order to vote for their preferred candidate come 2022.

Speaking in Kapsabet after launching the annual voter education week elections coordinator Nandi county Catherine Bulinda said voter registration is ongoing in all offices in all the sub counties.

“There is continuous voter registration in all constituencies, we have clerks who will register you. Their role is also to teach you on issues of IEBC, in preparations for elections,” said Bulinda.


They called upon the locals to come out for voter education to get information before the voting time.

Supporting the IEBC officials Aldai member of Parliament Corneli Serem and his counterpart Mosop MP Vincent Tuwei called upon the residents to come out and register especially those who have attained the age of voting.

“There are those who have attained the age of 18 years and yet they do not have an identity card, I call upon everyone to ensure that they get the necessary documents so that they can vote during elections,”

They also asked the residents who have lost their loved ones to ensure that they report at the IEBC offices so that they can be removed in the list.

“Anyone who was not a Nandi residents and now resides in Nandi I want to urge them to change their voters card in order to vote in 2022, we cannot just wish to vote someone as a leaders without getting a voters card so I want to urge the Nandi residents to ensure that they get registered,” said Serem.

The IEBC will go round all the Sub counties to sensitize the locals.
