Nandi: MP Wilson Kogo, MCA Koech, ranked best perfomers in Gala awards.
MP and a MCA in Nandi emerged the Gala award winners for an impressive leadership among the county leadership.
MP Dr. Wilson Kogo (Chesumei) and Kaptumo ward representative David Koech (Kaptumo/Kaboi) got the 2021 Gala edition prizes for showing an examplary development track record in the respective political capacities.
From the released Gala report, MCA Koech who doubles up as the leader of majority in the Nandi county assembly ranked the top performing leader among the 38 ward representatives in the county.
Gala honored a Former lecturer in the department of Mechanical Engineering at Ol’lessos TTI also a first-term legislator who was successfully elected in 2017 in Southern Nandi for his impeccable development delivery and astute debtor in the 2nd county paliamentary.
MP Kogo, basing on the progressive developments including the electrification of the learning institutions, installation of lights in the sub county market centers and supplying busses to over 10 secondary schools enabled him the attract the coveted award.
The former high school teacher, Dr. Kogo, was also recognized for his prudent management of National Government- Constituency Development Funds (NG-CDF) for the last three years since he assumed the office, thus disclosed hundreds of students benefitted from the education kitty meant for the busaries for technical institutions and secondary schools.
However, the Gala awards put the duos to the political limelight ahead of the next election when the electorates will take their constitutional latitute to consider reelecting the respective leaders.
