Nandi MCAs threaten to stop monthly contribution to Jubilee party until Tuju resigns.

A section of Nandi county Members of County Assembly  have threatened to stop their contributions to the party until Secretary General Raphael Tuju is sacked or resigns.

The county legislators earlier today convened a press conference in Kapsabet where they called for the immediate resignation Tuju over a remark he allegedly made in a phone conversation which jeopardizes the peace of the country.

The MCAs led by Kapsabet Ward MCA Fred Kipkemboi and his Nandi hills counterpart Gideon Koech were angered by the sentiments and asked him to resign or be ejected out of office.

They moreover called on the party leadership at the county to convene a meeting of party members to ratify a resolution of SG’s ejection.

Push for Tuju’s ouster started after a leaked phone conversation between a man presumed to be the secretary general and former Limuru MP George Nyannja emerged on social media.

The two men in the controversial recorded audio were allegedly plotting how to finish Ruto politically.
