Governor Sang warns his political rivals over meddling with county health sector.
Nandi Governor Stephen Sang warns his political detractors against politicizing the county health sector following the recent reinstatement of the staff.
He said that it is unethical for leaders to peddle propaganda to achieve their selfish interest at the expense of locals who essentially seek services from the public facilities.
“It is now confirmed that what was circulated in the social media were false and malicious information. Some people wanted to destroy the reputation of the institutions my administration has invested in to benefit the locals, there is tremendous improvement compared to when I found it,” he stated.
Sang regretted that he had to suspend a section of the county senior staff over the death of a female teacher who claimed that she died of medical negligence at Kapsabet County Referral Hospital only for the investigation to reveal that the said patient was never admitted in the facility.
“It doesn’t help anyone to capitalize on such health matters that almost cost the jobs of my staff. But I will succumb to sideshows rather than delivering my development agenda to the people of Nandi,” he vowed.
The county boss, however, assured the residents that the health facilities are in good condition with sufficient health workers and urged not to be cowed by leaders criticizing his administration.
