Poll: Governor Sang would retain seat if elections were held today.
A majority of Nandi County’s illegible voters would re-elect Stephen Sang as governor for the second term if elections were held today.
According to an online opinion poll conducted by the Northrift Mirror, Sang leads as the most popular gubernatorial aspirant among other four contenders officially registered to face off in the UDA party ticket next month.
Govenor Sang popularity ranged at 34.69% as his close competitor, Allan Kosgey, the son of former Industrialisation minister Henry Kosgey trailed him at 30.61%.
The former county boss Cleophas Lagat comeback to political arena is not a walk in park as 16.33% of the electorates are possible to give him a second chance to what he claims ‘taking the county to the right track.

The County Assembly Speaker Joshua Kiptoo who is also has eyeing the county top office got 14.29%, a score indicating to have consistently gained traction among the locals; and the new political entrant Antipas Tirop contended with 4.08%.
The poll was conducted between March 19th and 20th, 2022 and Sampled 3,034 online respondents across Nandi County. It has a margin error of +/- 1.4 per cent with a 95 per cent confidence level. The margin error is attributed to sampling.
The support of Governor Stephen Sang is purely based on his score card as most of the Nandi residents are praising him for his unrelenting efforts in ensuring that Nandi county residents enjoy the fruits of devolution.
Though some say it is propel by the power of incumbency Governor Sang’s leadership has always been praised for numerous developments in Nandi county.
