Nandi senator faults government over huduma number registration.
Nandi senator Samson Cherargei has accused the Government of using National Intelligence Service (NIS) in the procurement of huduma number.
The senator said the state use of NIS is against the law adding that it is a plot to rig out Deputy President William Ruto during the 2022 presidential poll.
“We are not comfortable with the huduma as it is now. Want the first huduma number issued before the second registration is done,” said Cherargei.
He added, “Why would need not follow the law in terms of public procurement and why use NIS? Why are they collecting the same data that they collected in the first huduma number?”
At the same time, the senator commented on the issue of dissolution.of parliament for not passing the two third gender rule.
He said he was ready to seek reelection if President Uhuru Kenyatta will dissolve the parliament.
“If the parliament have to be dissolved then the entire from presidency must go back home and seek the mandate fresh as it is,” said Cherargei.
He also critised the decision made by Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju on Musambweni by-election saying it was against democratic ideals since party members were not consulted.
” how will we grow jubilee if we do not participate in election like in musanweni by election or another upcoming by elections. We want jubilee to grow but you tell us to leave it for other parties that is killing democracy in this country. ” he said.
