Governor Chelilim meets county staff, assures he will work with all.
Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim on Friday held his first meeting with all the Uasin Gishu County staff at the county headquarters in Eldoret town.
Addressing the meeting, Governor Bii assured the staff that his administration will work with all of them to ensure locals get necessary services.
He also revealed that he will soon institute a headcount of all the county staff as well as inspect the county machinery and equipment to ascertain their conditions.
He further said that his administration will be looking into all staff issues such as promotions, provision of uniforms and other welfare issues.
On the health sector, the county boss noted that he has already held discussions with Ampath with a view of reopening Revolving Fund Pharmacy in our hospitals.
He further noted that he is reviewing a policy on drug distribution to ensure the KEMSA delivers drugs to the county Hospitals directly.
“We will keep the buffer stocks only at the Central stores,” he added.
On his part, Deputy Governor Eng.h John Barorot said the new administration will be looking at performance management that will ensure every individual contributes to the growth of the county within a team and as an individual.
Barorot has been tasked by the Governor to look into all issues of HR and ICT to ensure the county has a motivated workforce focused on service delivery for our people.
All CECMs introduce their new staff to the Governor and his Deputy. The County Secretary Edwin Bett and other senior county officials were also present.
