North rift leaders have hailed the outgoing presiding judge lady Justice Hellen Omondi who has been appointed as court of appeal judge.
Justice Omondi has been the resident judge serving Eldoret, Iten and Nandi high courts and now takes up the position of an appellate judge.
Led by Uasin Gishu County Governor Jackson Mandago EGH, the leaders said the judge was so instrumental in upholding professionalism and at the same time bringing a sense of efficiency in the corridors of justice in the region.
“We are so grateful that under your leadership, the cases backlog was greatly reduced and for this we thank you.” “We also hope that the efficiency you established will be maintained by the rest of the judges.” said mandago
Deputy governor Daniel Chemno praised her for establishing good relations even with convicts, to mean her work was more than serving justice.
Kesses Mp Swarup Mishra and Assembly speaker David Kiplagat also praised her while calling on her successor to pick up and continue with the good work.
