Kesses MP donates 10,000 face masks to help fight Covid-19 in his constituency.
Bodaboda operators, Matatu operators and Mama Mboga in Kesses Sub-County have something to smile about after the area Member of Parliament Dr. Swarup Mishra rolled out a program to donate 10,000 face masks.
Speaking during the exercise, the area MP who is also the vice chair health committee in National Assembly, said that the move is in a bid to combat Covid-19 Pandemic in his constituency and to ensure that the people of Kesses are safe from the pandemic.
“The masks will be distributed across Kesses Constituency and we target bodaboda operators, matatu operators and mama mbogas since they are more vulnerable to the covid-19 pandemic” Dr. Mishra said
He said they have so far distributed a total of 5000 face masks and that the remaining 5000, will be fairly distributed to the targeted people next week .
Dr. Mishra asked the beneficiaries to adhere to the rules by putting on the masks all the time when they are going on with their daily activities.
The legislator said that the masks will go along way in combating the pandemic in his constituency since it is in line with safety measures advocated by health ministry to curb the spread of covid-19.
Dr. Mishra called upon the residents to follow the directives put in place by the government to protect themselves and their loved ones.
