The car which plunged into Chebloch Gorge on Wednesday night at about 11pm has been successfully retrieved.
The front side of the Toyota Premier car that precariously dangled on the chains of a crane looked badly written off indicating it could have hit rocks as it descended down the gorge.
Police reveal that the driver of the car was a journalist attached to Mediamax.
The K24 TV Production Director Daniel Chemjor who went missing after his car plunged into Cheploch Gorge along Iten-Kabarnet road on Wednesday night has been found dead.
The car’s windscreen was completely shattered and the doors, though visibly dented, remained closed.
A press card was also retrieved from the driver’s seat where the lifeless body of Chemjor was lying.
The wreckage was pulled out the river following an intense search and rescue mission that began immediately after Chemjor was reported missing on the fateful night.
The journalist’s car is said to have veered off of the road and plunged into the gorge as he was approaching Kerio River bridge, crossing over to Baringo County.
