Following the digitization of all its revenue systems, The County Government of Uasin Gishu has continued to receive several counties’ delegations to borrow best practices on the systems.
The County Government of Makueni is the latest county to visit The champions on a benchmark mission, this being days after the visit by Nyeri county.
On hand to receive the visitors were County Secretary Mr. Edwin Bett and Finance CECM CPA Julius Rutto.
The delegation was led through the County ICT team led by ICT Chief Officer Mr. John Kemboi explained to the team how the system has helped in putting into account every single coin paid for the services.
He said that this has not only expedited the services offered but also increase revenue for the administration as there were no loose ends in the revenue collection.
He further disclosed to the team from Makueni how revenues are collected without the issuance of manual receipts.
On his part Director of Licensing and Compliance CPA, Jonah Lamai noted how user-friendly the systems are to the users.
The visitors appreciated the efforts placed by Uasin Gishu in streamlining revenue collections by going digital.
“We chose you since you have advanced on matters digitization of revenue where no-issuance of cash,” said one of the delegates.
“…we are still doing it manually but what we’ve learned will help us adapt the paperless and cashless mode” he added
