The County Government of Uasin Gishu, Department of Agriculture led by CECM Samuel Yego today signed a memorandum of understanding with Apollo Agriculture, a company that helps small-scale farmers maximize their profits.
The team from Apollo was led by co-founder and chief customer officer Benjamin Njenga.
The agricultural company which was established in 2016 prides itself in providing farmers with finances and farm inputs to ensure improved production and seeks to reach and help more farmers in Uasin Gishu county.
The CECM urged farmers to invest in high-value crops as he also encouraged youth in agribusiness to partner with such companies due to their favourable terms of service. He further assured Apollo agriculture of full support to ensure farmers maximize their potential as he told them to ensure that the prices of inputs are reasonable.
One of the beneficiary, Mr Philip thanked the department of Agriculture for having supported them in such an initiative, urging the CECM to help them find a market for their produce.
Present during the signing were Chief Officer Julius Rotich, County Attorney Stephen Lel and Apollo marketing manager Chelagat Magut.
