Uasin Gishu County breaks record with construction of 746 ECDs since 2013.

In comparison with other counties in the region, Uasin gishu County has made great strides in the establishment of Early Childhood Development (ECD) education centres across the County.

The devolved unit prides itself in establishing the highest number of ECDE centres, it is in continuous pursuit of not only increasing the number of units but also providing quality education to its children.

On Monday, Governor Jackson K. Mandago, EGH noted that his administration is pushing towards creating the most conducive learning environment to its learners through establishing modern ECDE units.


He was speaking when he commissioned Growel Koitebes Primary ECDE unit in Kiplombe where he asked parents to take advantage of the County’s initiative of building its future through ECDEs.

Further to this, Mandago noted that all the primary schools in the County will have an ECDE unit that is fully furnished with teaching and learning aids.

The County so far has established more than 746 ECDE classrooms fully equipped with qualified teachers.
