The Uasin Gishu County Assembly has invited members of the public to submit any information in regard to the suitability of three nominees of the County Executive Committee members (CeCs).
Governor Jackson Mandago last week nominated three CeCs and forwarded their names to the assembly for vetting and approval.
The three are Eng. Gideon Birir in the Roads, Transport, Energy and Public works department, Joseph Kurgat for the Education, Culture, Youth affairs, Sports and Social Services and Julius Ruto to be in charge of the Finance and Economic Planning docket.
The assembly through the clerk Richard Chepkonga has also set October 31 as the day of the approval hearings for the three nominees in which the public has also been invited to attended.
In a public notice published on the local dailies, Tuesday, the Assembly asked the CeC nominees to submit their Curriculum Vitae, academic certificates and other legal requirements or testimonials by October 24 ahead of approval hearing.
“Members of the public are invited to attend the approval hearing sessions. The members of the public are also invited to submit any information or comments on suitability or otherwise of any of any candidates for appointment to the respective position,” read part of the public notice.
