Two killed, 16 injured in Nandi Hills-Chemelil road accident.
Two people died while more than 16 people have been hospitalised following a grisly road accident involving a Nissan matatu and motorcycle on Nandi Hills-Chemelil Road.
The accident which happened on Wednesday at about 8 pm , involved a matatu whose passengers were travelling from millitary passing-out parade in Eldoret.
Eyewitnesses said the crash occurred after the driver of the 14 seater matatu swerved to avoid hitting a boda boda rider.
After swerving, the matatu rolled several times.
The injured were rushed to health facilities in Nandi and Uasin Gishu Counties while bodies of the deceased were moved to Kapsabet County Referral Hospital Mortuary.
