Governor Jackson Mandago, EGH has called on the public to tighten the nut on adherence to covid protocols as advised by the Ministry of Health.
This comes even as the country grapples with rising cases of third wave of corona virus. The new tide is more lethal and is fast in transmission.
But Mandago admits that the virus does not move on its on, adding that humans aid its transmission and that strict measures will slow it down. The past one week has seen positivity rate of over 20 percent in daily updates.
The Uasin Gishu county chief asked everyone not to relent on washing hands, correctly wearing masks and avoiding crowding.
Kenya recorded 1274 positive cases in a sample size of 7240, Uasin Gishu recording 66 cases from Saturday’s updates.
Mandago also called for peace as the country nears electioneering period. “Peace is everything, politics and elections will come and go, but we need peace everyday. Let us keep peace.”
Mandago was attending a church service at St James ACK – Tulwet. Area Member of County Assembly, Julius Songok and politician Jonathan Bii were present.
