Sigh of relief for Tindiret landslide victims as county intervenes.

Victims of the Tindiret ward landslide have been reprieved after county government and area ward representative provided with building materials and farm inputs.

Area MCA Kipkurui Chepkwony said he had sealed an agreement with the county government that will see farmers provided with tea and coffee seedlings to cushion them from losses they incurred after their crops were swept away by recent floods.

“Those who were severely affected will receive construction materials to set up homes in safer grounds,” said Chepkwony.

Chepkwony urged well-wishers to join hands and help dozens of families with essentials like beddings and food.

He further asked locals in dangerous grounds to move to safer places until rains have subsided to avoid incurring losses.
