Shun alcohol, Mandago tells youth.
Governor Jackson Mandago EGH has reiterated his calls for the youths to shun alcohol abuse citing dire consequences in their lives.
Speaking in Ziwa, Soy Sub-County on Wednesday, Governor Mandago said “shun alcoholism so as to safeguard you future” while insisting that there is no benefits that come with use of alcohol amongst the Youth.
“There’s no future if you enslave yourself to alcohol,” the Governor noted, adding that it also has implications on economic and social life as users may not be as productive and effective as expected.
Mandago asked the youths to keep off from alcohol so that they can dedicate their time and resources in building a good future advising that “build your future when you’re still a strong youth.”
On her part, Deputy President Dr. William Ruto’s wife – Rachael Ruto urged Kenyans to pray for the nation.
The Governor was accompanied by County Secretary Edwin Bett, County Executive Committee Member’s Esther Mutai (Cooperatives), Samuel Yego (Agriculture) and Chief Officer Simion Kemei (Water).
Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, Senator Samson Cherargei and Soy MP Caleb Kositany were also present.
