Sack suspended officials, Governor Sang told.

Nandi County Assembly has recommended for the sacking of two members of the county  Executive committee and  two Chief Officers after a Sectoral Committee report implicated them over loss of public property in the departments of transport and infrastructure.

CECM for Lands Stanley Baliach, his counterpart in Education Valentine Chumo, Chief Officer Roads Jonah Biwott and CO Education Daniel Sang were mentioned adversely for axing from their various offices as well as to be held responsible for the lost finances.

During a special sitting, the Ward Representatives adopted a motion on Adhoc Committee Report that investigated the alleged theft and recommended sacking of the suspects.


The Committee Report which was presented by Hon. Emmanuel Rono, MCA, Ol’ Lessos Ward and Chairperson to the house on Wednesday also made a recommendation that the affected executives be fine over 1 million shillings cumulatively for skipping county Assembly summons.

The report however recommended that reinstatement of  CECM Transport and  Infrastructure Mr. Hillary Koech by the county public service board.
