Leaders from Rift Valley have continued to dismiss the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
Led by Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei, the leaders said the push for constitutional amendments that BBI advocates would strain the country’s economic resources.
Cherargei who was speaking during the ground breaking of Moi Sirgoi Mixed Secondary School in Mosoriot in Nandi County said leaders supporting the BBI had I’ll motives for the country.
“We must be honest to each other and admit there is no value for ordinary Kenyans with this BBI,” said Cherargei.
Cherargei who was accompanied his Bomet counterpart Christopher Langat asked Kenyans to watch out and avoid being misled into supporting the initiative.
Senator Langat reiterated the lash on BBI and vowed to continue the onslaught throughout the country.
The criticism by the Cherargei-led leaders come at the time President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga have openly declared support of the initiative.
