Ford-Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula wants Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga to reveal the details of his alleged meeting with National Super alliance (NASA) leaders that led to the endorsement of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s push on VAT bill.
Raila had led a Parliamentary Group Meeting at Orange House in Nairobi where he asked NASA-allied leaders to support the eight percent VAT on petroleum products as recommended by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Wetangula who is also the Bungoma senator said the decision contravene NASAs push for welfare of Kenyans.
Wetangula asked the national government to seek alternative avenues of repaying debts rather than kenyans with burdening taxes.
Speaking in Eldoret during Senate sitting.Wetangula lashed at Raila for failing to champion for the rights of Kenyans and asked him to reveal details of the PGM.
The senator said the state could rescue Kenyans from plunging into further debts by fighting corruption.
He said corruption was derailing development and asked for prosecution of suspects and recovery of stolen funds.
