Nandi:Inquest into “compromised” County Assembly committee hit a snag.

Nandi County assembly Ad-hoc committee members have dismissed a report that alleged that the committee was compromised.

The committee, tasked with overseeing world bank funded and kenya urban program projects , had appeared before the Powers and Privileges Committee to answer queries over alleged compromise of some of its members.

However, the session came to an unexpected end after Ad-hoc committee members raised questions over the legality of the report.

The committee chair Kipkirui Chepkwony said majority of the members dismissed the report submitted to the speaker Joshua kiptoo.

“The letter was not signed and no one has claimed authorship,” said

Chepkwony is also secretary general of county assembly forum.

Ollesos Ward Representative Emmanuel Mengeech said those who have been mentioned in the report should resign since the public has lost confidence in them.

“I will table a motion to see the removal of all members who have been alleged to be compromised,” threatened Mengech.
