A section of youth from Aldai constituency in Nandi county has warned political aspirant’s against riding on DP William Ruto’s name to gain political mileage a head of 2022 elections.
They said that a section of aspiring leaders takes advantage of DP’s campaigns for their own benefit terming the recent developments manifest poor leadership and lame political strategies in them.
Speaking to journalists in kapsabet town the youth called upon the politicians to compete on issue based campaigns rather than mudslinging each other.
” The country is dire need of solutions for problems plaguing every sector of the economy and this should be in every aspirant’s mind when engaging the electorates other than spreading propaganda against their opponents,” said Peter Rotich.
They further urged the youth to shun the politics of harassment and abuse especially through social media platforms instead of using them to proactively vet various candidates to get a suitable leader.
Citing the outcome of the recent by election in Kiambaa constituency where United Democratic Alliance (UDA) won against Jubilee, the youth noted that the party cemented its position as the only party with a transformative agenda urging the youth to register as voters in readiness of the 2022 elections where UDA is poised to form the next government.
