Nandi youth challenged to help shape the county’s politics.

Emgwen paliamentary aspirant Kiplimo has urged the youth help in shaping county’s politics by engaging in constructive and issue-based politics ahead of next year’s general election.

Amid the sizzling political campaigns that have attracted various aspirants eyeing gubernatorial, paliamentary and senatorial slots in Nandi county, he said to be an opportune moment for the locals to rally behind leaders that are development oriented.

Speaking with Northrift Mirror in an exclusive interview, Kiplimo claimed that the politicians are taking advantage of the jobless youth through bribes and inciting them to commit heinous political assignments including heckling and causing distractions in the political rallies.


“The school leavers including the graduates should change their minds and explore more on opportunities and resources within their stretch. As voters, they should look forward to electing leaders that would support emporment programs offered through TVET initiatives to enrich them with skills and enhance self-employment,” he stated.

He further noted that the TVET courses are tailored to instill techniques in youth thus promote innovative talents skills to boost economy.

“It’s not yet time for politics in the country. We cannot have people politicking from Monday to Sunday at expense of development and we must call out leaders campaigning in the region,” Kiplimo cautioned, urging the youth to engage in activities that would help to boost their economic standards.

However, Kiplimo called upon the locals to support Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential aspirations in unanimously turning out to vote in August 8th, 2022.
