Thousands of employees working in Nandi County are set to miss out their August salaries, the county management has confirmed.
Assistant County Secretary Truphena Kobiro revealed that over 3,200 workers would be affected.
Apart from the August pay, the employees are likely to miss subsequent payments due to cash deficit in the county.
“This is to communicate to you that August salaries will be delayed due to unavailable circumstances” read part of the circular.
The financial crisis in the county comes days after Governor Sang organised a trip to Mombasa with the county officials, Members of county assembly and CECs.
Critics have claimed the crisis could have been averted had priorities been made right. The financial crisis would not be experience.
