Nandi MCAs hit out at Murathe for linking DP Ruto to Kemsa scandal.
A section of leaders from the county assembly of Nandi have accused Vice Chairman of Jubilee Party David Murathe of undermining Deputy President William Ruto.
On Tuesday, Murathe linked DP Ruto to the scandal at the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency (Kemsa).
Led by leader of majority David Koech who is also the Kaptumo -Kaboi ward representative Murathe was misleading the country on corruption at Kemsa yet the party official was allegedly link to the scandal.
“Murathe has been mentioned in kemsa scandal with his team while the DP’s name has not. It is now clear that the people who have been stealing from Kenya are the likes of Murathe” he said.
He said that murathe should concentrate on his preferred presidential candidate and desist from tainting Ruto’s name.
His Nandi Hills counterpart Gideon Koech also condemned Murathe’s utterances and urged president Uhuru Kenyatta to disassociate himself with such leaders were likely to incite Kenyans against each other leading to violence.
” I want to urge the president who is a symbol of national unity to encourage the call for peace and unity. Jubilee party was formed in the platform of unity.” Koech said.
He said that the whole country knows that the Deputy President has been involved in many projects and yet he has been sidelined for long.
He said Murathe’s talks have continued to negatively affect the party by promoting disunity.
