Nandi County’s health system gets a boost as DP Ruto unveils new facilities.
Nandi County today received a major boost in it’s health system after Deputy President Dr. William Ruto unveiled multi-million shilling new facilities.
The facilities that will ensure the residents get access to quality health services include CT Scan and an Oxygen Plant both at Kapsabet County Referral Hospital.
The DP also laid stone foundations of Kobujoi Hospital Complex in Aldai Sub-county, Mother and Child Unit at Kapsabet County Referral Hospital and Trauma center at Nandi Hills Hospital.

Addressing hundreds of Wananchi at Kapsabet town after commissioning the facilities, DP Ruto said as the country moves towards attainment of Universal Heath Coverage(UHC), equipping of hospitals and training of health personnel are critical components.
“We are collaborating with counties to promote and strengthen these interventions; facilitate the provision of effective and affordable healthcare to all and enable communities to manage their health needs, including expanding access.” He said
The DP applauded the county government of Nandi for ongoing expansion and improvement of health infrastructure saying the construction and equipping of health facilities across the county is a commendable achievement.
Nandi Governor Stephen Sang said affordable Healthcare is one of the priority areas that his Administration is working around the clock to improve.
