10th edition of Isaiah Kiplagat Memorial Ndalat Gaa Cross-Country receives sponsorship boost of Sh. 2 million from Nandi county government.

The 10th edition of Isaiah Kiplagat Memorial Ndalat Gaa Cross-Country Championships have receive a sponsorship boost of Sh. 2 million from Nandi county government ahead of the event schedule next week Saturday.

The race was founded by the Late Athletics Kenya President Isaiah Kiplagat in 2008 to nurture young talent and breed world beaters.

Speaking today during the launch of the Isaiah Kiplagat Memorial Ndalat Gaa Cross-Country 10th Edition, Nandi Governor Stephen sang said his administration have channeled efforts towards enhancing sporting activities in the county.

The race also received sponsorship boost of half a million shillings from Kenya Pipeline Corporation.

“In honour of the Ndalat Gaa Cross Country race founder, The late Isaiah F. Kiplagat, my administration has supported this annual race which has through out the years, proven to be a career launching pad for young athletes ” said Governor Sang.

Sang added that the county government have made this year`s event unique by organizing a two-day free medical camp.

2018 BMW Berlin and Olympic marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge who is also the Marathon race world record holder  will be the brand ambassador for this year’s  cross country event.

The event is scheduled for 13th October 2018 at Ndalat gaa secondary school.
