Wednesday is another holiday for employees of Nandi County.
Governor Stephen Sang issued the directive to the staff to stay off duty in honour of the late retired President Daniel Moi.
In a statement, Sang said the off duty was meant to allow employees to celebrate the life of the former Head of State.
“I have officially declared a break from duties on Wednesday in honour of the late President Moi,” he said in a statement on Monday.
Sang who led the signing of condolence book as he mourned the late Moi said the book signing was open to the public.
Moi is celebrated in Nandi County for promoting education through supporting construction of schools.
He is also remembered for ordering the closure of bars to contain alcoholism.
Moi was also instrumental in the conservation of environment and setting up of health facilities.
