Nandi County Assembly finally clears Governor Sang’s nominees.

Nominees for Nandi County Secretary and three County Executives Committees are set to be sworn in after they were approved by the county assembly.

Dr Francis Sang was approved to serve as County Secretary, a position he has been acting for the last two years. Sang previously served as a member of the County Public Service Board.


Grace Sugut who was also at the board in the past as the Chief Officer was given a nod by ward representatives to serve as CEC for education.

Governor Stephen Sang’s nominee for roads and infrastructure Eng Drice Rono was also cleared.

Also, Philemon Bureti was approved as CEC for land, environment, natural resources and sanitation.

Joshua Kiptoo who chaired the appointments committee presented the report on the nomination to the assembly which was endorsed.

The assembly said the nominees met the requirements of Chapter six of the constitution on leadership and integrity.

The four are expected to be sworn in anytime from next week.
