Nandi: 15 year old girl travel 50 kilometers in a bid to seek form one admission in her favorite school.

A 15-years old, Staicy Jeptum from Chepterwai village Nandi north surprised many after travelling over 50 Kilometers using bodaboda to Eldoret town, to seek admission in Moi Girl’s high school.

She left home at around 5am for Moi Girls, claiming that it has been her favorite high school rather than Kaplong girls, the school she was placed to join form one next week.

Jeptum who sat for 2021 KCPE exams scored 380 marks arrived at Moi Girl’s high school at 8.00 am only to be turned away by security guards.

“I requested to enter the school compound but the gate security didn’t not allow me. They told me it is a national holiday and no school official transaction can be done, I also wanted to write a letter to the school principal to consider my plea. Moi Girls has ever been my dream school, and I chose it during my KCPE registration,” she said.

Jeptum who wants to pursue medicine doctor did her KCPE in Teresia primary school and performed well hoping she will join her favorite school since childhood.

She is appealing to anyone who can assist her to join Moi Girl’s high school.
