My resolve to serve Uasin Gishu people as strong as ever — Mandago.
Uasin Giishu County governor Jackson K. Arap Mandago, Thursday, said that his resolve to serve residents of Uasin Gishu county is as strong as ever.
He said this during a brief ceremony at his offices when he officially received his presidential Award medallion in accordance to the law.
Mandago , received Elder Of The Golden Heart, first class medallion for his exemplary leadership in entrenching devolution of resources and administration.
The county boss was nominated and awarded last year for the achievements in during the 2013-2017 term a period in which Uasin Gishu county led in opening up of rural access roads, building ecde classrooms, establishment of health infrastructure as well, upgrading of Eldoret City’s business environment a move which was recognised by the World Bank.
“I am very pleased to have received this award. It strengthens my resolve to serve the people of Uasin Gishu county. I thank His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta Uasin Gishu county executive, the county government staff as well as the residents for their immense support in developing our county’, Mandago said.
The brief ceremony was officiated by Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno. County Secretary Edwin Bett, his deputy Joyce Kebenei, Count Executive for Environment Mary Njogu, Chief Officer Co-operative & Enterprise Development Pius Kigen, and Chief of Staff Paul Lagat were also present.
