The Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret town will get two Cuban doctors who will help in supporting the health system.
Uasin Gishu Governor H.E Jackson Mandago has revealed this saying the move will help improve the hospital’s health system.
Speaking at the hospital when he presided over the opening of a modern kitchen, Mandago said; “In future we might be sponsoring doctors to study in Cuba.”
The county Government of Uasin Gishu helped set up the five ICU beds at the cost of Sh50 million bringing to 20 the ICU beds at the second largest public hospital in the country.
The county boss also revealed that his administration will built mortuaries in Ziwa and Kesses to assist in decongestion MTRH funeral home.
Mandago thanked MTRH for its efficient service delivery to locals in the North Rift and neighbories in East and Central Africa.
MTRH boss Dr. Wilson Aruasa welcomed the support from the county government.
