Governor Jackson Mandago has commended religious leaders for being on the forefront in the fight against Covid 19.
Speaking as he attended Idd Ul Fitr celebrations in Eldoret, Governor Mandago said religious leaders have played a crucial role in ensuring that faithful observe measures.
“We would like to specially thank church leaders for ensuring that places of worship keep strict measures against Covid 19,” said Mandago.
The clergy are part of the Covid 19 Advisory Committee, a membership whose input is crucial in informing the President.
Mandago also asked the clergy to continue with the measures, while also praying for end of the pandemic.
Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno also called for continued observance of the measures set by the Ministry of Health.
“Wear your mask wherever and whenever, wash your hands often, keep distance and avoid crowding,” says Chemno.
