Governor Jackson Mandago EGH on Sunday attended a thanksgiving service at St Thomas Catholic Church, Matharu in Kesses Sub County.
Speaking during the service, the Governor challenged Christians to always focus on supporting the work of God.
He also affirmed his willingness to support church work, even as he asks Christians to commit towards ensuring their places of worship are well beautified.
The county boss also took the opportunity to express the need for youths to join Technical and Vocational Training Institutions.
He said he will soon be visiting the sub county where principals of various TVET institutions will be present to help ensure more youths enroll to courses he said would guarantee them jobs – either employed or self-employed.
“We don’t want our youths to go to college only to look for jobs in 10 years. Our focus is enrolling for courses they can employ themselves if not get employed,” Mandago said.
“As a county, we also have the Biashara Fund that is meant to help youths who may be in need of capital to start their own businesses,” he added.
Area MCA Patrick Bundotich also attended the thanksgiving.
