In a thrilling final match in girls category Kirandich won with 15 scores against murundiko 11 and in boys category saniak scored 11 verses kebulonik with 10 to win the title while in senior men Mountains were victors scored 19 against Legens 17.
According to secretary general Kenya hand ball federation rift valley Gilbert Chumba called upon the youths to ensure that they use their talents especially sports since it is like other professions.
He also urged sports men and women to avoid doping since it brings shame in the sports industry.
“Sports is like any other career in any other profession. I am urging youths to strive through the sports and avoid short cuts like doping to progress in the sports and bring sanity,” he said.
He called upon the county government thorough sports department to support the youths by empowering them and give them support to uplift there talents.
“The County government should work with the county federations to uplift the game standards at the county level. The current is doing below average as per the contribution to the growth of different games in the county,” said Chumba.
The teams were from across the rift valley region.
