Kilibwoni MCA decries marginalization by county government on project.
Kilibwoni MCA Cynthia Muge has cried foul of political witch hunt over the county failure to execute development projects in her ward.
She claimed that for the last two years the entire Kilibwoni ward has not benefitted from the annual transport and infrustracture allocations amounting to millions and her request for explanation from the relevant department has been futile.
Noting that the county assembly has been approving the funds meant for feeder roads upgrading and culverts installation, MCA Muge pointed accusing fingers to the executive for what she stated to deliberately ignoring the projects earmarked for graveling.
“If the taxpayers are denied services they deserve due to my political stand, then it is very wrong. There should be fairness in distribution of the resources rather than creating crisis to settle political scores,” she stated.
MCA Muge is among governor Stephen Sang-led administration’s critics over rampant allegations of graft cases and misappropriation of funds which claimed to have hindered the county to realize its substantive developments.
“I cannot stand watching all these happening rather than asking a share of what we deserve. We don’t need much but Kilibwoni residents should benefit from the development kitty reserved for all wards,” MCA Muge stated, claiming that out of over 400 Kilometers of feeder roads the county should at least utilize the available limited resources to improve on sections they are in critical state.
