Kesses MP distributes hundreds of cartons of hand sanitizers in fight against Coronavirus.
Kesses member of parliament Dr Swrup Mishra today flagged off distribution of hundreds of cartons of sanitizers in a move aimed at buttressing the government’s efforts to combat Coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking at Kenmosa constituency office during the exercise, the legislator urged his constituents to strictly follow the directives by the Ministry of Health to prevent further spread of the disease.
“Corona is here to stay thus we should strictly follow government directives on corona virus pandemic” Said Dr Mishra
The constituency has reported a corona-virus infection case, a situation which has prompted the MP to reinforce distribution of the sanitizers.
According to the law maker, the free hand sanitizers initiative targets majorly Boda boda operators, Matatu operators and Mama mbogas since they can easily contract the virus due to the nature of their jobs.
Dr Mishra further dedicated part of his Monday itinerary to Tarakwa Ward where he visited Sobetabgaa self help group Potatoes farm a beneficiary of MP’s empowerment programmes.
He promised to invest in storage technology to offer solution to post harvest losses that potato farmers have been incurring due to lack of storage facilities.
