It’s all smiles as locals get boost in poultry farming.

More than hundred residents of Kapkobis village in Chemundu ward, Nandi County have a reason to smile after receiving an incubator to boost their poultry farming.

The members of the Kazi Mingi Green Belt help group received the incubator donated by Julius kipruto.

The incubator has a capacity of 528 eggs and is expected to empower the youths especially during this time when COVID-19 has led to economic decline in various sectors.

The group also have 38 layers and 12 cocks to jumpstart their expansion of their agribusiness venture.

Kipruto said he was hopeful that the beneficiaries will utilize the machine to reap maximum results.

“Agribusiness is a great venture that youth should embrace and focus on it to liberate themselves from poverty,” said Mr. Kipruto.

Group coordinator Ronald Chirchir said the donations were timely since the group has been struggling with financial challenges during the pandemic.

“We are well equipped to do business and navigate into a better future,” said Chirchir.
