Addressing press in his office Uasin gishu center for human rights and democracy (CHRD) programs officer Kipkorir Ngetich said that the move was only meant to fight the Building Bridges initiatives (BBI).
“As Human Rights activist in Uasin gishu county, I was saddened to hear that Uasin Gishu County Assembly has passed the bill.
The move was against the law and was only passed due to pressure from some political factions to ensure BBI does not succeed” he said.
He called upon other counties not to support the bill urging Kenyans to be on the look for groups which are used to fight the initiative which will ensure that the country will have good elections and bring unity in the country.
Ngetich further said that Punguza mzigo bill has alot of gaps which have to be filled.
