Governor Mandago presides over the first VTC graduation under the devolved unit.

Governor Jackson Mandago EGH, today presided over the first graduation and the commissioning of the new administration block in Kwenet Vocational Training Centre in Moi’sbridge Ward, Soy Sub-County where 65 students graduated.

Kwenet is among the 12 VTC centres spread across the county offering various courses among them hairdressing, plumbing, electrical, garment making, masonry, carpentry among other technical courses.

Currently, the total number of students in all the VTCs is over 3000.

Mandago said he was impressed for having presided over the graduation from the time the county government took over the full mandate of the vocational training centres. He urged the graduates to be focused and not be selective when opportunities come.
