Good news to maize farmers as county establishes cereals store.

Uasin Gishu County has today inspected and received a completely constructed cereals store that holds up to a capacity of 15,000 bags.

The Tuiyo Farmers Cooperative store based in Kapseret Sub County will serve as a maize collection centre that will aid the storage of corn before prices are determined.

The Director in charge of Agriculture Wilbur Mutai called on farmers to also consider the diversification move by planting Avocado, Macadamia and Coffee besides maize.
