Get vaccinated, church calls.
As Christians celebrate Easter amid covid 19 pandemic, Kapsabet Anglican church of Kenya Bishop Paul Korir has called upon Kenya’s to take the covid vaccine jab.
Speaking during the installation of the church provost Christopher Seurei, Bishop Korir said the covid 19 has thought many that pain and suffering does not reflect classes of people.
“As a church we want to ask people to take personal responsibility in terms of observing the world health organization protocols. We want to continue encouraging us to take advantage of the vaccines,” said Korir.
Korir urged Kenyans to leave in unity and shun from politics of divisions and ask leaders to unite Kenyans instead of dividing them.
“If there is anything that we can learn in this easter of 2021 is that we are one people looking forward in celebrating our diversity. When Christ died we buried hatred so may we Bury corruption may we bury nepotism, may we Bury politics of division in this country and allow politics of civility and unity to emulate within us,” he said.
He said the church will continue preaching peace hope and unity.
Among those who attended was the area MP Wilson Kogo who congratulated the new provost calling upon the church leaders to pray for the country to fight the pandemic.
