Chesumei Member of Parliament Wilson Kogo has decried disparity in food donations to the vulnerable by national government.
Kogosaid many deserving families in the villages were being left out despite a promise by President Uhuru Kenyatta that the exercise would be fair.
Kogosaid the Committee tasked to oversee the distribution of food had failed the head of state.
“I want to request the president to ensure there is fairness in the distribution of food and ensure those in the remote areas benefit,” said Kogo.
TheMP was speaking at Chemundu in Nandi County where he distributed food to over 3,000 families across his constituency. The exercise was done in partnership with Baraton University.
Kogoalso called out on President Uhuru to ensure that all hospitals throughout the country were equiped as the country battles Covid-19 pandemic.
“The focus should not only be on the Level 5 hospitals alone. All facilities need support to operate efficiently,” said Kogo.
