Nandi County Executive Committee in charge of finance and economic planning has been impeached by the county assembly.
Alfred Lagat was ousted in a motion moved by Kiptuiya ward representative Geoffrey Kevolwe.
The motion seconded by Kipkirui Chepkwony (Tindiret Ward), was supported by 31 and dismissed by seven ward representatives.
Among those who openly rejected the motion are Paul Singoei (Kaptel Kamoiywo), Eliud Kirongo (Kapkangani), David Koech (Kaiboi/Kaptumo) and Milka Chumba (Kipkaren).
The ward representatives said the CEC, Alfred Lagat, was responsible for the financial crisis the county was facing.
The county has not received funds from the national treasury over uncleared pending bills.
The leaders also accused Lagat of snubbing their summons, mismanagement of bursaries and non implementation of projects among other shortcomings.
Lagat is the fourth CEC to be impeached by the county since last year.
