Elgeyo Marakwet County Assembly deputy speaker Christopher Chemosong has shown concern over health officers who were employed recently by County Public Service Board.
Speaking in Iten town, Chemosong said that he doesn’t understand the criteria which the board used to hire health workers.
Chemosong lamented that the board did not follow the laws and rules of hiring employees because the applicants used online application.
Chemosong, who is also Arror ward Mca said there are employees who volunteered to work since 2013 but were not offered a job.
“The board could have considered the long serving volunteers instead of offering the job to those who came recently “, said Chemosong.
Elgeyo Marakwet county residents have also complained about the recruitment process saying it was marred by corruption and demanded that job vacancy be re-advirtised.
