Elgeyo Marakwet county Youths embark on CSR activities amid Covid-19 pandemic.
A group of youths in Kaptarakwa Ward Keiyo South sub-county have joined hands in a CSR activity that saw part of a road that was badly off fixed.
Lead by Elgeyo Marakwet county youth Meshack Kiplagat ,the youths managed to handpack hardcore in Busta – Mokwo feeder road that was badly off.
According to the youth leader major feeder roads across the county have been cut off hence needs maintenance.
Kiplagat challenged other youths in various parts of the county to set an example as they wait for other stakeholders support.
“This ia a spirit that i call upon my generation to emulate in their areas”, said Kiplagat.
He also urged Kaptarakwa residents to consider allocating money for road maintenance during public participation in the future.
Kiplagat furthermore said that it is imperative for the County Government , Ward Development Committee members and the Project Management Committee members to ensure that once roads are gravelled and graded, it should be compacted.
