DP Ruto lauds creation of CASA games says it brings national cohesion.
Deputy President William Ruto has lauded the creation of the County Assemblies Sports Association (CASA) saying it would promote national cohesion and integration.
The DP said the sports program that brings together all counties for competitions were crucial to encouraging cultural interaction and talent promotion.
Speaking when he launched the second edition of association games at Eldoret National Polytechnic, Ruto thanked the organisers.
“Ladies and gentlemen that have come here apart from the fact that you have come here to celebrate our unity and to celebrate our sportsmanship I want to tell you occupy a very big space in our devolve system of government.” Said the Dp.
Ruto said that as national government they recognize the place of the members of county assembly in ensuring that they secure the devolve system of government.
Uasin gishu county is the second county to host CASA after Nairobi County.
The games are set to commence from 1st to 8th October 2019 bringing together teams from all 47 county assemblies.
