Delays in the release of funds affect completion of projects in Uasin Gishu.

Governor Jackson Mandago EGH, on Monday, said the main cause of delays in the completion of projects in most areas, is delays in the release of funds from the Treasury. He noted that as of now, funds have not yet been released.

Speaking during a meet-the-people tour in Saroyot, Rehema, Chepkigen and Chemenei in Cheptiret/Kipchamo ward Manadago urged residents to always attend public participation and unanimously decide on major projects under the Ward Development funds so as they decide on priority projects that will benefit the community rather than small projects.

The Governor took time to urge residents to vote for him as the next senator during the upcoming UDA nominations, promising to assist the next Governor to solve challenges he has gone through like delays of funds and pushing for more resources. “My government has robust projects but because of the limited resources we have face challenges,” Mandago said.
