The Ministry of Education has said the delay in payment of desk suppliers for their deliveries was due to bank anomalies.
Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha said some.suppliers had given incomplete bank details making it hard for payments to be processed.
Speaking when he toured Nandi County, Magoha said payments will be made to all suppliers and urged them to be patient and provide the required bank details to avoid delays.
In the recent past, many desk suppliers have complained over delayed payments accusing the state of playing cat and mouse games with them.
Magohavisited Namgoi House Workshop in Kapsabet where 800 desks were being assembled to be distributed to various schools in the county.
The CS was accompanied by workshop proprietor Ken Morgan and County Commissioner Geoffrey Omoding.
Magoha said the county had witnessed high turn out of learners in school, and came second in Rift Valley with 76 percent after Bomet county.
